Mr. President,
It is my pleasure, at the outset, to warmly congratulate you upon your election as President of the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly. I also wish to extend my deep appreciation to your predecessor, H.E. Mr. Sam Kutesa, for his commendable efforts in conducting the business of the 69th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
