The tragic conflict in Sudan has raged for more than three years now with devastating consequences to the people of Sudan. The conflict is also fraught with deleterious ramifications to the stability and security of the wider region. In this context, and particularly in the past few weeks, we have seen inordinate intensification of media and other campaigns that revolve around flawed diagnosis and misrepresentation of the underlying causes of the conflict.
