Egypt and Somalia Joint Statement
Asmara: October 10, 2024
We, the Presidents of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Federal Republic of
Somalia, met in Asmara, the capital of Eritrea, on October 10, 2024, following a
high-level invitation from His Excellency Isaias Afwerki, President of Eritrea. We
agreed on the following matters:
1. Strengthening support for the unity, independence, territorial integrity,
and sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Somalia, while rejecting any
actions that threaten the nation’s unity and independence.
